The 'ME' moments
By Bing Aranzanso
I have a radio in my office. I need it because I am all alone in that small square space. As I was listening this morning, one of my fave series talked about how a mother or a woman deserves a treat. It is true. Sometimes mothers are so engrossed about being a good wife and a mother that they forget about themselves. They forget that they also have to treat themselves right. Foot spa is my favorite. I do not know why, and if a lot of women agree, but it really relaxes the legs and the feet. It extends to the whole body. It gives a feeling of gratification. It is a very special reward to myself. Whatever type of body spa can do a lot for women actually. It rejuvenates the self. It refreshes the body while bathing, being massaged, and resting. It is a diversion that is worth trying. Another form of treat to self is to buy something like a dress, or a trinket, or a pair of shoes, or anything. It doesn't have to be expensive. It doesn't have to be many. Buying something for yourself is also a form of rewarding yourself. Your ME moments is important. It does not mean you are self-centered. It does not mean you are a selfish person. But it does mean that you deserve special moments for yourself, a break from it all. |

What you say is very true but I never seem to get as much satisfaction out of something I buy for myself as I do out of something I buy for someone else or that someone else buys for me.

ha ha couldn't agree more about that exhilarating feeling of receiving a gift or a token from someone, especially from someone special, oldcoot, but what i am talking about here is when at times you seem to have forgotten yourself or everybody else had forgotten about you.
Very true, and it also applies to daddies. Although in my case I would go for something other than a foot spa.

of course it also applies to daddies, nick! hmmmmm... what could that thing be?
Everyone needs to learn the art of self pampering. For me, its sitting in a coffee shop with a new book and a latte.

that is a very nice idea, june! i'll do it one day.
Now, here is the encouragement I need. I lead a "crazy" life. I just love all the people in my life but am now finding I need a break now and then. My favorite thing of all time is to sit on our garden swing in the evening (as the sun goes down) and reflect on my blessings. PS I am now following your interesting intels.
